Block Dominoes Rules Explained Simply

Block Dominoes is the most traditional way to play dominoes. It is often the first version beginners learn because the rules are simple and the game moves quickly.

How Block Dominoes Is Played

  • Uses a double-six domino set

  • Played by 2 to 4 players

  • Each player draws 7 tiles

  • The highest double starts the game

  • Players match numbers on open ends

If a player cannot make a move, they pass. No drawing is allowed.

How to Win Block Dominoes

The game ends when:

  • One player uses all their tiles, or

  • No one can make a move

The player with the fewest remaining pips wins.
